I will put their names on the bottom so don't lie! This is a must for any FAQ, and if you haven’t noticed by now I’ll spell it out for you: COPYRIGHT (C) NOTICE!!!!!!!! COPYRIGHT (C) NOTICE!!!!!!!! What is plagiarism you ask? It’s the technical word for the stealing of other people’s work. It’s also ILLEGAL in every state and country. Patchwork plagiarism is also illegal. This means that someone copies someone else’s work, changes a few words and/or paragraphs, and claims that it is an original work. In other words: DON’T DO IT without my permission!!!!!! My E-mail is SIMSteven@aol.com. Just e-mail me and there'll be a good chance that you get to use my work as long as you tell me who you are, where you're from, and where you'll put it. Make sure that I give you a response as well. Also, make sure to give me the credit for doing the work and do NOT alter it in any way, shape, or form. Also, when you e-mail me, put "MegaMan Legends" in the subject heading or you will be ignored. Okay?! OKAY!! MegaMan Legends is one of my most favorite game series of all time. It's a game with a lot of fun characters, action, adventure, and a big story. This is my first full walkthrough for any game. Other FAQs that I have written have been mini-FAQs. But this game is so good enough that I wanted to make a FAQ for it. Also, I noticed that after I wrote the FAQ, it was a Spoiler Free Walkthrough. I didn't explain any major parts of the story, so yes, it is Spoiler Free. The first scene explains quite a bit about the world of MegaMan Legends. The second movie scene gives a brief introduction on MegaMan's newest adversaries, the Bonnes. You'll be seeing a lot of them shortly after you start the game. ******************************1b) The ocean ruins**************************** This place is a place that will basically help you learn the controls and the basics of ruin exploration. You won't be able to come back here once you leave, so make sure you do everything possible! You start out as MegaMan Volnutt. In the opening movie scene, MegaMan is pulling an Indiana Jones. He's breaking into an ancient ruin and is just about to steal a blue glass thingy. This blue thingy is a refractor. Refractors are an ancient power source that powers all sorts of things. This particular refractor has no particular meaning in the game, though. You just pick it up, and forget about it after you complete these ruins. Once you gain control of MegaMan, look at the top left portion of the screen. This is your mini-map. It's very useful when you are looking for paths and places that you can go to. I recommend heading left to map out the small square by the door you just came out of. Remember, you won't be able to come back here once you leave. I recommend mapping out the entire ruins if you wanna do EVERYTHING in the game. Also, this is a good time to get acquainted with the controls. When you're ready, head along the only path you can take. You will be stopped shortly. Roll, the person you were talking to earlier, gives you a tutorial on you to fire your buster. Pay attention, because you'll be firing it a lot! Head straight down the path and shoot down the Reaverbots that pop out of the wall. They should drop little rhombus shaped things. These are refractor shards (also called Zenny), and they are used as money in the shops that you'll be going to. Pick them up and keep going along the path. Roll should tell you to turn right. Instead of going right, go straight and kill a couple more Reaverbots. You'll come across a dead end, so go back the way you came and go down that path. You'll come across a 4-way intersection. First head left and kill some more Reaverbots. Then if you want a tutorial on how to open doors, get close to the door. Instead of going in the door, we're going to do some exploring. If you are facing the door, turn left. Go down the long hallway and explore both paths. One path is a dead-end, the other path leads to a room with a switch on the floor. If you step on the switch, a gate blocks your way back! The only way to disarm the trap is to kill all the snake bots. They're really easy to kill, so once you're done, collect your Zenny go back to that door. Open it with the circle button (if you've forgotten how) and head inside. There's some more Reaverbots hiding behind the pillars, so do your thing. Head inside the next door and you'll be in the next area. Now, if you want to map out the entire area, you'll have to go back in the door you just came back out of. Yeah, it's strange, but the game didn't make out the spot in between the two doors you came out of. Anyways, head up the ramp and you should get another tutorial. It'll teach you how to climb ledges. It's pretty simple, so just jump at the ledge straight ahead of you and you'll climb up. Keep following the path and some Reaverbots will dash by. Ignore them, because you can't kill them. Head along until you come across another fork in the road. Head right and you should be in a room with a large container. Blow it up and tons of Zenny will pop out of it! Read another tutorial and collect your Zenny. Go back the way you came and you'll come across one more fork. If you try heading right, you'll be stopped by an energy barrier. It looks like we'll have to disarm another trap. Keep walking through the hallway and you'll get a tutorial on locking-on with the R2 button. Kill the Reaverbot on the ceiling and head into the room that's close by. Climb the ledge and shoot those little pillar things. Go in the little crevice behind where the energy barrier was and you'll find 2 treasure chests. One contains 560 Zenny, and the other contains a Power Raiser. You'll get a tutorial on how to equip Buster parts once you pick it up. Push start, click on Buster Parts, and equip the Power Raiser. Head back to the other energy barrier mentioned earlier, and the path should now be clear. Inside the door in front of you is a boss battle! Get ready to fight a one-armed giant Reaverbot! ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: The one-armed Reaverbot ** ***************************************************************************** * This guy is really easy. All you have to remember is to circle and * * shoot. This is a good time to practice the most effective method for * * fighting bosses all throughout MegaMan Legends. Keep trying to run * * around to his backside and hold Square the whole time. You'll defeat him * * in no time. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! For all of you MegaMan Legends Veterans, try to take this * * out with the Kick attack. You'll have to push Triangle to use the Kick * * attack. * ***************************************************************************** ******************************1c) Kattelox Island**************************** Once you beat the one-armed Reaverbot, another cut scene occurs. You'll be cornered by the one-armed Reaverbot on a ledge high above the ocean. Just in the nick of time, Roll Casket comes in with the Flutter and saves MegaMan's neck. But another problem occurs. The Flutter has engine trouble (meet Gramps, AKA Professor Barrel Casket) and is just about to give away. MegaMan points out an island that's 100 miles southwest and they quickly head over to it. In seconds, they're at the island (Can they really travel that fast?) and they crash land. It looks like we need to find some parts for the Flutter so we can do some repairs. Back in control of MegaMan, talk to Gramps, Roll, and the little monkey named Data. Data will always be happy to restore MegaMan's health and save the game. Why don't you save while we're at it? If you head towards the path past the nearby sign, a cop car will zoom past you. Head back and talk to Gramps. The Inspector will take Gramps over to the police station to fill out some immigration forms. After you're done talking, go in the direction that the police car went. There's a gate with a cop next to it. Go inside. Inside the gate is the Apple Market. It's full of shops galore, but you can only buy from one of them. Search all of the trash cans and boxes (marked Plasma Cell) and you should find 100 Zenny, 50 Zenny, 20 Zenny, and a Broken Cleaner. If you want to, kick the can into the Jetlag Bakery for 1000 Zenny. When you're ready, head toward the shop opposite the book store. This is the Junk Shop. Inside the Junk Shop, you'll find a woman. She asks you to find her husband. Say you'll help and head outside. Go back towards the Flutter and Data will be bouncing around just outside the gate to the Apple Market. Straight ahead is a big, destroyed wall. On the other side is a ruin that you'll need to go into. It's such a small ruin that I won't even make a separate section for it. From the entrance, head left. You'll see some Reaverbots above you. Just ignore them and keep going. Straight ahead, a Reaverbot will pop around the corner. Blast him, and look straight ahead. See that hole in the wall? Search it for 2,600 Zenny. Keep going and you'll find some snake-bots. Kill all of the snake-bots and talk to the man on the ledge. He'll run back to town. You can follow him if you want, but there's more treasure further ahead. Go through the door and you'll find some little mine Reaverbots. Get close and blast them when they pop up. Then, go through the narrow passageway and you'll be in 2 small rooms. Kill some more Reaverbots and then look for a treasure chest. Inside is a Rapid Fire. Equip it, then head outside. Once outside you can see Roll and Data straight across from you. Have Data save the game and head back to the Junk Shop. Talk to the Junk Shop lady and you'll get a Mine Parts Kit. Go back outside the Apple Market and find Roll. She'll ask you if you found any parts (which you didn't) and will make a Splash Mine out of the Mine Parts Kit you gave her. After that, exit the Support Car and you'll find another cop. He'll give you a Citizen's Card so you can go to other places in the city other than the Apple Market. He also warns you about pirates.... ******************************1d) Pirate Attack!***************************** Well, it looks like you can't go EVERYWHERE in the city just yet. But that's ok. Right now, we just need to find Gramps and make sure he's ok. You'll find three kids blocking the door to Downtown. Use the Circle button to sneak up and listen to what they're saying. Then you can get through. Once you head inside the city, you'll find a strange woman dressed in pink. She seems to be ordering these three little yellow guys around. She seems suspicious enough, right now, but we don't know why just yet. Anyways, go ahead and explore the downtown area as much as you want. Search the trash cans for 10 Zenny and a Broken Motor. Next, head to the gate marked "N" and go to the City Hall area. Your next location is the big white building on top of the hill. Head inside the city hall and go upstairs. You'll find Gramps talking with Mayor Amelia. You chat for a minute then get sent back to Roll. Don't worry, this is the last time you'll have to backtrack! But along the way, you'll find the girl in pink getting chased by a dog. Head to Downtown and find her clinging to a lamp post. Talk to Paprika the dog and chase him away. The girl in pink will blush, yell at you, and run away. Let's hurry back to Roll. On the way back, stop at the Junk Store. Buy as many items from the Parts menu, and then buys some Life Gauge pieces. Buy an Energy Canteen and maybe a Shield Repair. If you've collected lots of Zenny beforehand, you should have lots of stuff. Next, head back to the Cardon Forest. When you talk to Roll, some ships will fly overhead. Then, you'll hear explosions and run to help Gramps. Data will be in the Apple Market, so save! There's two boss fights in the next area. After heading through the door, you'll be stopped by the cops. After some talk, MegaMan will go and fight the pirates. Meet the Blumebears; each one is piloted by a Servbot. ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: The Blumebears ** ***************************************************************************** * The Blumebears are pretty easy. It just takes some time to beat them, * * that's all. Try to kill the blue one first. Then, go for the red and * * then the yellow. Avoid their gunfire as much as possible and you should * * be fine. If you need health, kick the Servbots without a machine and * * they'll drop some energy cubes. Also, try using the Splash Mine if they * * are coming your way. You might find the key early, but you won't have as * * much fun if you don't kill them all. But if you're low on health just * * grab the key early. You won't get as much Zenny, though. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! I've had a hard time thinking up a challenge for this battle. * * Try to beat the Blumebears without any Buster Upgrades, without buying * * any Life Gauge pieces, without picking up any energy cubes, killing all * * three of the Blumebears, and kill both of Draches. Also, none of the * * buildings can be destroyed. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Part 2: Try to beat this boss fight without taking a hit. * ***************************************************************************** Once you finish off the Blumebears, there's another cut scene, and you get to meet Tron! She's a favorite of many, because she's more than just a pirate. You'll find out as the game goes on, but here's a hint: it has something to do with that "funny feeling" she gets when she thinks of MegaMan. In the meantime, she attacks you, leading into another boss fight. ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Feldinaut ** ***************************************************************************** * Feldinaut is also pretty easy. It has weak attacks, but if you bought * * Life Gauges, you should be fine. The hard part in not letting any of the * * buildings to get destroyed (which the Feldinaut can easily do). Move * * over to the right side of it and shoot away. This is a good time to tell * * you about the secret Rapid Fire trick. While holding Square, rapidly * * push Up. You'll shoot buster shots faster than normal, leading to more * * damage being done. Shoot the Feldinaut as much as you can while trying * * to dodge its attacks. You can dodge most of the attacks by jumping and * * pushing Down (jumping backwards). Jumping straight up also helps you * * dodge its attacks. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Try beating the Feldinaut without taking a hit. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Part 2: Try to beat the Feldinaut without letting it destroy * * any buildings. * ***************************************************************************** Another cut scene will play out. When it's over, you'll see Data next to the gate that's straight ahead. Heal and save your game. Then head through the gate. Another cut scene shows and you get to appear on the news! Anyways, there's another two boss fights, but hopefully you should be prepared for them. ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Bonne Army ** ***************************************************************************** * Ok, I've called this a Bonne Army because there's an army of Bonne * * robots. Your main objective is to kill all the robots without letting * * the city hall get destroyed. Your primary targets are the flying robots. * * If you kill all of them, no more reinforcements will come out and you can * * clean up any remaining robots. Also, aim for the little red tank dudes * * because they will go straight for City Hall. You'll have to do a lot of * * locking-on and shooting to kill all of the flying robots. Try to use * * Buster parts that boost Attack and Rapid. Boosting Energy might also be * * a good idea. Use Splash Mines against the tank dudes to easily kill them * * if you need to. You should be able to kill the flying enemies quick * * enough that you won't need to be so concerned about the destruction that * * the tank dudes cause. After all of the flying guys are dead (there are * * three), just mop up the remaining tank dudes and you'll go straight into * * yet another boss fight. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Try beating this boss without taking a hit. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Bon Bonne ** ***************************************************************************** * Bon isn't very hard once you know the trick to beating him. Just move in * * close and shoot away. When he attacks, move towards him and a little bit * * to the side. You should be going underneath him every time. This is an * * easy trick to avoid all of his attacks. Just blast him whenever you move * * all the way underneath him. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Try beating this boss without taking a hit. * ***************************************************************************** With Bon out of the way, the Bonnes retreat from the city. Roll rushes in and wants to check up on Gramps. Do so, and the Inspector busts in and tells Amelia that the pirates are digging up Clozer Woods (the northern forest). After you're done talking, Roll shows off her repairman ability with the newly acquired Support Car. The Support Car will allow you to quickly mover around the island, develop new weapons, and improve old ones. Listen closely to the tutorial she gives and make sure you pick up a Walkie-Talkie from her. Click on "Support Car" on the bottom of the list and head to Downtown. There's an item we can pick up here. After leaving the Support Car, head left and search the houses directly left of the Support Car. You should find a trash can in the area with some Blumebear Parts. That's all you need right now. Head back to the Support Car and have Roll make a Machine Buster out of the Blumebear Parts. Try upgrading it a little. You should also switch to it because it is much better than the Splash Mine. You should also do some shopping. You can buy a Flak Jacket and some Buster parts. Don't forget to equip the Jacket after you buy it. All right, now that you've got a Class B License, it's time to search the ruins for some items. If you don't want to, just head to the next section of the FAQ. Use the Support Car to move to the Cardon Forest. South of the Flutter should be a path through some mountains. Follow it along and head left once you come out of the path. There should be an entrance to a ruin here. Once inside, you'll have to go a long ways before you come across anything spectacular. There will be a mini-boss that comes along later on. You can kill it if you want. It's just like the one-armed Reaverbot you fought in the beginning of the game except it has two arms now. Shortly after you fight it, you'll come across a room with three two-legged Reaverbots and three Reaverbots that look just like those two-legged Reaverbots. Kill them and at the top of the inclines is a treasure chest with 2280 Zenny. Go through the door and you'll be in a big room. There is a hole in the wall that contains an Old Shield. Go in the door at the end of the room and you'll be back where you started. You'll find a Buster Unit in a chest and some big containers. Blast them for a lot of Zenny and you'll have gotten everything of value at this time. If you need some Zenny, do this loop and you should get about 10,000 Zenny. You should go after every Reaverbot except those walking mines. They aren't worth the trouble. BTW, the best Buster combo right now (in my opinion) is a Buster Unit + Blast Unit. *****************************1e) Take out Teisel***************************** The next target it to take out Teisel at the Clozer Woods Sub-Gate. But before you go, make sure you're prepared. Buy some Buster parts at the Junk Shop. Also, buy Life Gauge pieces until you have a total of 10. Buy a Flak Jacket if you haven't already, and have Roll upgrade your weapons. If you need some extra Zenny, go to the B class ruins south of the Flutter. Go around the loop and you should come out with about 10,000 Zenny. You may also want to get a Kevlar Jacket if you want to really be on the safe side. When you're ready, head north of City Hall. A Servbot tank just blasted a cop car. It's time for another round with the Bonnes! Blast tanks along the way and look for a raised area just after you go past some old walls. You can jump on top of the walls from the raised area. Look for a shed up there and you can find a Safety Helmet in a Plasma Cell box. There's also a Junk Shop inside the shed if you want to buy some things. With your back to the door of the shed, head directly left. You should see another shed with a trash can behind it. Search the trash can for 200 Zenny. There's nothing else here, so head back to that raised area and head right. There's hold in the wall that we need to go into. In the next area, there's more Bonne tanks. Head over the bride and left of the big rock. Near the last tank is a flower. It's in the grass to your right. Pick it up. You should also be able to see some ruins. We'll come back to them later. For now, turn around and head to what is now the left side of the big rock. Data is there, so SAVE! Head through the door opening, kill some more tanks, and MegaMan will see a gigantic yellow mole robot called the Marlwolf. ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Marlwolf ** ***************************************************************************** * It's big and it has heavy armor, there's a trick to beating it. Start * * by shooting all of the tanks posted on the ledges. Try to avoid the * * green plasma beams that the Marlwolf shoots from its hands. They'll * * destroy your shield if you get hit. After you've kill all the tanks, hop * * down and start shooting at the treads of the Marlwolf. It shouldn't be * * too hard to destroy them. Next, get up high and jump on the platform on * * the Marlwolf's back. Whenever the hatch opens, pummel it with the * * Machine Buster. Watch out for the Marlwolf's hands. They'll try to * * knock you off. When the hatch takes enough damage, you've won! * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Try beating the Marlwolf without taking a hit. * ***************************************************************************** After beating Teisel, head out of the pit. Roll will call you and ask if you can come back to City Hall. Say "Yes" and you'll see a cut scene of the Bonnes. They're planning an attack against MegaMan! We won't have to worry about them right now. Anyways, back at City Hall, the mayor asks you to search the ruins for information about the treasure. Say "Yes" again and you'll get a Class A License. The mayor also asks you to make donations to restore the city. Go ahead and make some donations, especially for the Police Station and the Bank. Then, fix up the houses, too. Back outside City Hall, call Roll if she isn't already there. "Talk" to her and give her the Flower that you found earlier. Also, have her make a Helmet out of the Safety Helmet you found earlier. Equip it if you want to, but MegaMan looks cooler without it. If you want to explore some more, read on. If you don't, skip to the next section. Head north through the gate. Remember where the ruin entrance was? We're heading there. Just inside the entrance is a treasure chest with 1,780 Zenny. Head through the door and up the incline. To the right is a trapped treasure chest and a hole in the wall. Inside the hole is 1510 Zenny. Next, go into the door behind you. You will now be in a big room. Make your way to the upper level and kill the flame throwing Reaverbots. If you look closely, you should see a treasure chest sitting on a ledge. Jump over to it and you'll find a Cannon Kit. That's all you need for now. Head back outside. Walk all the way back to City Hall. The reason for this is you can't use the Walkie-Talkie in the Clozer Woods. Back at City Hall, go in the Support Car and have Roll make you a Powered Buster out of the Cannon Kit. You might want to head to the Downtown area now. You can now go to the Uptown area, which is through the gate to the west. Head straight right and you'll see some trash cans. In one of them is a Broken Propeller. Head back toward the entrance and you'll see a big building with KTOX over the door. Talk to the receptionist and you'll be able to play some mini-games. Beast Hunter This game is really simple. Kick the balls so that they hit the dog. Hit the man and you'll lose points. Kick the stuffed dog at the dog and you'll get two points. Kick the stuffed dog at the man and you'll lose two points. Hit the flashing dog that runs by and you'll also get two points. Play the game several times until you beat the A Rank game and you'll get a Zetsabre. Balloon Fantasy This game will test your shooting skills. Shoot down all the red balloons but don't shoot the blue balloons. Shoot all the red balloons within the time limit and you win. Shooting the blue balloons will add a second to your time. Strategies to win are to increase your Rapid and Energy stats and to use the rapid fire trick. To do the rapid fire trick, hold Square and tap up really fast to shot your Buster faster than normal. Beat the A Rank and you'll get a Mystic Orb. Head outside the station and go up the incline. You should see a woman painting. Talk to her and tell her she needs some red for her painting. We'll get her something later. For now, head up the last incline and search the trash cans there. You'll find 30 Zenny. Head toward the boat shop up there and you'll see some Plasma Cell boxes. One of them has 20 Zenny. Head inside the actual shop and take a U-turn. There's a door right next to where you came in. Check it once and Wily will tell you that that boat won't work. Go through the door anyways and look for a trash can for 10 Zenny. Head back to the main section of Uptown and call Roll. Have her make a Vacuum Arm out of the Broken Cleaner, Broken Propeller, and Broken Motor. Then, head to the Apple Market. Head to the store called Hip Bone and talk to the clerk. She'll give you Lip Stick which you can give to the painter in Uptown. Head back and give it to her. She'll run off to open the Museum, but nothing's going on there, so you can wait until later. *******************************1f) Cardon Forest***************************** Alright, we're going to head to the first Sub-Gate. Head to Cardon Forest via the Support Car. Head south through a big hole in the wall. It looks like our Bonne friends are back AGAIN. But this time they'll be easy. Roll also comes in with the Support Car. Blast the tanks in front of the Support Car and Roll will drive forward. Blast them all and Roll will ram the gate with the Support Car. Head back in and SAVE! Charge your energy, too. There's nothing too powerful in the ruins, but better safe than sorry. Now, once you've gone inside, you'll get some directions from Roll. There's a refractor, but you need to find three Starter Keys somewhere in the ruins. Head through the door (once you've checked the panel by the refractor). In this room, there's some wasp nests and green clunking Reaverbots. Try to shoot them from long range so you don't take any damage. Straight ahead from the door you came in is a door on the lower level. Next to it is a hole with 2,300 Zenny inside. You can go in the door if you want. There's a hole in the wall with 300 Zenny inside. There's also a compactor in this room. Push the button to get it started if you want. Head back into the main room. Go ahead and kill everything here. The wasp nests give lots of Zenny. Head to the upper level and shoot down the big green plank. It makes a bridge over to the next platform. A little ways forward is a wasp nest. Shoot it and jump over there. You should see a Starter Key lying on the ground. Pick it up. Head around the other platforms and you should come across a door. Go inside. There's another hole in the wall with an Old Doll. Go in the opening on the other side of the room. To the left is a treasure chest with a Grenade Kit inside. Go up the incline and you'll see some blue platforms. You can only walk on them for a split second before they shatter. Head over to the green treasure chest and make it drop. Follow the conveyor belt to the compactor and wait for the green chest to get smashed. A Starter Key should pop out. Get it, the go back to the upper level, across the platforms, and into the door. To the right of you is a treasure chest. Make sure you open it because inside it is a Spring Set. This will allow MegaMan to jump higher once Roll develops it. Keep moving along the upper level and you'll find another hole. Look inside for an Old Bone. Go through the door that's straight ahead. In this room there's another energy barrier. The trick to getting past it is to push all three buttons on the floor and make a dash through the passageway. Round the bend and there will be a Starter Key in front of the door. Head back to the entrance and take the refractor. There's no boss, so just head up the elevator and leave. On the surface, head inside the Support Car and talk to Roll. She'll make a comment about the refractor and then do her usual thing. Make sure you make a Grenade Arm out of the Grenade Kit and Jump Springs out of the Spring Set. Skip this section if you want to proceed with the game. This is another time to go treasure hunting! Make sure you get these items, though, because they're very worth your while! (You'll get a lot of Zenny, too.) Anyways, head back into the Sub-Gate. With your newly acquired Jump Springs, jump onto the ledge next to the elevator. Head in the door and you'll be back in the extra ruins. Straight ahead is a room with a Rollerboard. Head back into the previous room and up the slant. There's some more holes; one has 9,240 Zenny, the other has 820 Zenny. Head down the path and into a big room. Doesn't this look familiar? Anyways, to the left is a treasure chest with 1,180 Zenny. Next, jump over to the ledge on the opposite side of the room. There's a door that leads into a room with walking mines. Past this room, there's a ledge to your right. Jump up there and open the treasure chest to find 1,620 Zenny. Turn around and head through the hallway straight ahead. You should see a hole guarded by some kind of turtle Reaverbot. Inside is a Shiny Object. Keep going along the path and you'll be in a series of rooms and hallways. In one of the rooms is a Pen Light. Head back to the big room with the little mine dudes. Instead of going back the way you came, go to the other end of the room. The next room over has another high ledge with 2,840 Zenny in a chest. Keep going and jump up another high ledge. On each side of the doorway is a hole. One has 4,520 Zenny, the other has 780 Zenny. Go through the tunnel and through another door. There's a passageway up above you. Go in there and find a Rapidfire Barrel. There's a couple more places we can go. Head over to City Hall and go north. Remember that shed behind the wall? Go inside it and you'll find Jim's gang again. Agree to become a member and they'll send you to get a Pick. Go back to City Hall and look outside the Bank. There's a construction worker here who'll give you a Pick. Take it back to Jim's gang. Then, go over the extra ruins by where you fought Teisel. Go back to the room with the bridge and go through the door on the upper level. Jump up onto the ledge and open the chest that's there. There's 1960 Zenny. In the far back corner of the next room is the only real chest. It contains a Buster part, the Triple Access. If Jim's gang isn't finished with their base, go Zenny hunting or something. Come back to Jim's base and he'll ask you for a Saw. Talk to the same construction worker near the bank and you'll find out that he threw it away. Go to Downtown and look in the trash cans near the library. You should find it and then head back to Jim's base. Kill some time and come back. Jim will tell you that their base is finished! Search the pile to your right for a Marlwolf Shell. Now we can get some items to trade with them. Nearby is a shed on top of a wall. There should be a Comic Book on the ground. Pick it up and head over to where you fought Teisel. There should be a Stag Beetle on the ground near the entrance to the extra ruins. Head back to town and use the Support Car to travel to the Cardon Ruins. There should be a Beetle on the ground. Pick it up and head back to the base. Trade the Stag Beetle for some Broken Circuits. Trade the Beetle for an Old Heater. Trade the Comic Book for an X Buster. There's one last Side-Quest. Save the game first before you do this Side-Quest! Go to the Police Station near City Hall and head into the back room. Talk with the Inspector and he'll give you a mission. The first mission is to head Downtown. You'll have to walk there because Roll's busy or something. Once you get to Downtown, a bomb will explode! You need to find two more bombs in the Downtown area before they go off. One of the bombs is sitting next to one of the green buildings. The other bomb is on a roof. You'll have to jump up on top of the buildings to get it. The roof should also be green, if that helps you any. Anyways, the placement is totally random, but look by a green building and on a green roof. When you deactivate the first bomb, you'll get a Plastique. The second bomb that you disarm gives you a Bomb. That's all you need right now. Head back to Roll. Roll can make some new weapons for you now! She'll make a Blade Arm out of the Zetsabre and Pen Light, a Shield Arm out of the Marlwolf Shell and the Mystic Orb, a Buster Part called a Machine Gun out of the Rapidfire Barrel, a Power Blaster L out of the Plastique, and a Power Blaster R out of the Bomb. Equip the Power Blaster R and a Sniper Unit for a good Buster combination. ********************************1g) Lake Battle!***************************** The Junk Shop has some new items! Make sure to pick up a few, especially the Hyper Cartridge. There's some good buster parts, too. You might also want to upgrade your weapons and canteen. If you need money, kill the wasp nests in the Cardon Sub-Gate. When you're ready, head to Uptown. (Uptown is west of Downtown.) Head to the boat shop on the top of the hill. Once inside the actual shop, turn around and look for a door right next the door that you came in. You'll talk to Wily when you first try to go through the door. After talking to him, go through the door and talk to the engineer standing next to the boat. Call Roll so she can fix the boat. After it's fixed, you'll be able to use it to get to the Lake Jyun Sub-Gate. But before you reach the island, you'll be attacked by the Bonnes! ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Bonne Navy ** ***************************************************************************** * Once again, the Bonnes are looking for a fight. They are now going to * * try a big ambush against MegaMan. This is one of the hardest parts in * * the game, so you'll want to come prepared. Bring along the Powered * * Buster (maxed out, preferably), and shoot down as many ships as possible. * * You'll have to be on the defensive most of the time. Your first priority * * is to shoot any torpedoes coming at the ship. Then, go after the * * missiles. Whenever you have a free shot, shoot the Powered Buster at a * * submarine. It should take them out with one hit. Keep going until you * * fight some of the airplanes. Try to take those out because there's a * * limited number of them. Once you destroy enough submarines and you wait * * long enough, you'll have to fight the Bonnes' mother ship. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Try to destroy every submarine that appears. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Frog Bot ** ***************************************************************************** * Ok, the Bonnes don't say the name of this boss. But anyways, you need to * * aim for the area between it's eyes. Shoot every missile that comes out. * * After a few seconds, Roll will ask you if you want to Fight or Retreat. * * It's usually better to retreat because your ship will get repaired and * * you can get Data to restore your weapon energy. When you go back out to * * fight it, keep aiming between its eyes. Eventually, you'll travel in a * * little passageway. The Frog Bot will follow you, so keep shooting at its * * missiles. Eventually, you'll be in a little pond area. Roll will circle * * the Frog Bot so you can get a shot at its four weapons. Shoot down the * * arms and the cannons on its back and the Bonnes will pull out one last * * weapon. Shoot the plasma cannon on the backside until the boss's energy * * has been depleted and you've won! It might be better to shoot the arms * * and cannons with the Powered Buster and the plasma cannon with your * * Buster. The Buster will get in more shots so you can cancel out the * * plasma cannon when it's charging. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Try to destroy this boss without retreating to the boat shop. * ***************************************************************************** After the cut scene you'll be standing next to the entrance of the Lake Jyun Sub-Gate. Talk to Data, heal, and SAVE! *********************************1h) Lake Jyun******************************* Shortly into the ruins, you'll find a small room with two holes in the wall. One of them has 1,240 Zenny. The other has 220 Zenny. Then, you'll come to a big room with a smaller room off to the side. There you'll find a chest with some Old Hoverjets. Go back to the big room and jump up to the door. In the next room are some turtle bots. You'll want to head to the left corridors from here. Shoot down the flying mines and you'll come to an oddly shaped room. In here is a hole with a Gatling Part. Go into the room next to it and you'll find a chest with a Starter Key. Make sure you get it. Head back to the main room and head off to the corridor on the right side of the room. There's another hole in the wall with a Ring. Keep going down this path and you'll find a door. In the next room, head right without falling off the ledge. There's another Starter Key in a chest to the right. From the chest, turn around and head straight. Climb the ledge and head left. You should be near a door that leads to the previous area. There's a corridor here that leads to the last Starter Key. You'll have to do some platform jumping to get over there. Behind the chest is another hole. Search it for 5,130 Zenny. Back in the large room, look for a chest on top of a pillar. Get over there, but watch out for invisible Reaverbots. The chest on the pillar contains a Joint Plug. This is a must-get item, so make sure you get it. Anyways, head to the upper level and go to what would be the North exit on your map. There's some crocodiles here. They pack a punch but are great for making some fast Zenny. There's also two doorways to the extra ruins here. If you head down the left path, you'll find a chest with a Rapid Striker. The path on the right is blocked, so you won't get anything. Head back to the room with the crocodiles and head North again. In the next room there's a big yellow thing and a refractor. You should have all the Starter Keys, so retrieve the refractor and head to the exit. On your way out, you'll be confronted with a giant Golden Reaverbot. ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: The Golden Reaverbot ** ***************************************************************************** * This guy has some very simple moves. They are very easily avoided if you * * know the right evasion techniques. His first attack is a jumping-sliding * * attack. To avoid this, keep your back to the wall and jump sideways. * * After he does this attack, he'll jump to the center of the room and * * create a shockwave. Just jump straight up before it hits you and you'll * * avoid it. Now, to kill it, there's only one weak spot. You have to * * shoot its head. You can aim manually because most of the time when you * * push R2 you'll be far enough away that the auto lock-on feature won't * * work. He should go down easy enough, but learn the timing of his jump * * attacks or you'll get hit a lot. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Beat this boss without taking a hit. * ***************************************************************************** With the Golden Reaverbot out of the way, you're free to head back to town. When you get back to the Support Car, talk to Roll and she'll fix the Flutter. After the cut scenes, you can now go to the Clozer Woods Sub-Gate, but there's yet even more Side-Quests to do. But first, let's make some items! You can head to the R&D Room by talking to Roll, or you can go outside the Flutter and into the Support Car. They do the same things, so either's fine. Have Roll fix up the Rollerboard and the Old Hooverjets to make some Jet Skates. Now you can move more quickly than before! The Joint Plug modifies into an Adapter Plug, which allows you to equip three Buster parts! Next Talk to Roll and give her the Ring. You'll make her happy and blah de blah. Anyways, skip to the next section if you don't want to do any Side-Quests. Inside the Flutter is a room with a green door. This is Gramps's room. There's a chest with a Bomb Schematic inside. Take it and head out of the Flutter. Go to the Support Car and have Roll modify the Bomb Schematic into a Grand Grenade. Go back to Lake Jyun with the Grand Grenade equipped and go back to the area with the crocodiles. You can head into either the left or right door in that room, but since most Americans are right handed, I'll start with the door on the right. Blast the wall with the Grande Grenade a go straight. When you come to a dead-end, there's only one real treasure chest and it contains 5,600 Zenny. Head back the way you came and head left at the fork. A couple rooms after the fork is a northern path with an Old Launcher in it. Keep going along the path and you'll come across another fork. Go straight and at the very least destroy the wall on the right side. There's a hole here with 920 Zenny. Just a little ways ahead there's a T-shaped formation of walls. Destroy the "center" of the T and there's a hole. You'll find 660 Zenny. Just after the T is a L-shaped formation of walls. Destroy the "base" of the L and you'll get a hole with a Main Core Shard. That's all you'll need here. Head back outside either through Lake Jyun (preferred route) or the door to the far South. If you followed my advice, you should be in Uptown. Head to the hospital and talk to the girl in the wheelchair. She tells you about her leg and wants you to visit her later. Talk to the nurse behind the counter and she tells you to go through the door on the right. Go in, and talk to the nurse there. She tells you that the hospital needs some equipment so she can fix Ira's leg. Go to City Hall and talk to the mayor. Ask her about the hospital's equipment and she'll ask for 15,000 Zenny. Pay it, then head back to the hospital. Head into Ira's room like before and you'll see that her leg is better! She'll give you a Flower Pearl as thanks. While you're still in Uptown, head to the TV station. Talk to the guy with a blue shirt in the corner. If you have the Jet Skates equipped, he'll give you three different racing mini-games. The trick to them is to learn how to control MegaMan while he's using his Jet Skates. Pushes Up makes MegaMan lean forward so he moves faster. Push Down slows him down so he can make sharper turns. Pushing L1 and R1 turns the camera and helps MegaMan turn even more sharply. With the basics down, you should be able to do the races easy enough. Now, to win, you must go through all the cones in order. Also, if you hit the yellow cones, the clock will stop for one second. Try to hold Up as much as possible and hit the yellow cones and you should make it through the goal every time. Prizes: Straight Course A Rank: Music Box Left Curve Course A Rank: Omni Unit Technical Course A Rank: Giant Horn There's one more Side-Quest that we can do. Talk to the Inspector at the Police Station. He'll mention a man that lost his bag of money. This mission requires you to talk to a lot of people, so start out by talking to the man in green in the lobby. Next, head to the Electronic Goods Store in Apple Market. Talk to the clerk and then you'll bet sent to the Jetlag Bakery. Talk to the person there and then head to the library. Talk to the librarian and then go to the pop machine near the northeast corner of Downtown. Talk to the girl in green and she said she saw a man, but with no bag. You'll have to find one more person. From the pop machine, go back across the main street and talk to the kid in red. Talk to him three times and he said he threw the bag away. Look in the garbage next to him and you'll find a Bag. Go back to the Police Station and talk to the Inspector and you'll get an Arm Supporter. Now you should be able to make another item out of the ones you just found. The Gatling Part combines with the Flower Pearl to make a Gatling Gun Buster part. You can also Talk to Roll and give her the Music Box. *******************************1i) Clozer Woods****************************** If you've done a lot of Side-Quests, you can have a killer Buster part combination by now. The best combination at this time is a Power Blaster R + Gatling Gun + Buster Unit. Anyways, on with the game! Be sure to bring something with explosive capabilities along. A Powered Buster will do just fine. Head to the Flutter and have Roll take you to the Clozer Woods Sub-Gate. Head out the main door of the Flutter and you'll be in the ruins. A short ways through, you'll jump down a hole. Turn around and go through the door. You'll need to inspect the control panel before you can head into the rest of the ruins. It looks like you need to find three ID cards and then come back here. Go back out the way you came and now go straight. Take out the Reaverbots here and head to the northeast room. In this room is two holes. One of them has 450 Zenny, the other has a Tele-Lens. Next, head to the door in the east. There's a chest here with a Guidance Unit. Drop down and search the pillars for 1,200 Zenny and 1,840 Zenny. Head to the opposite side of the room and search those pillars for an Antique Bell and 920 Zenny. Jump up to the nearby ledge and you'll find an ID Card in the chest there. The next place we're going to is the door in the center of that room. Head left and you'll find a Target Sensor in a treasure chest. Go back the way you came and go the other way. On your left is a door to the extra ruins. There's an Ancient Book in the area. Go back to the Clozer Woods Sub-Gate. Back inside the ruins, go straight. In the next area you'll find a chest with and ID Card and a purple pillar thing. Inspect the purple thing and you'll find that it's a generator. Turn it on and you'll be able to use any of the elevators in the ruins. Now, go back to the room where you found your first ID Card. Back in this room, go straight from where you came in. Kill all three of the Reaverbots here and Roll will mention that something is showing up weird on her monitor. What you need to do is blast the ceiling with an explosive weapon. The Powered Buster will be your best bet. Jump up there and go into the next room. Take the elevator and you'll have to fight three bosses. ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Reaverbot Dogs ** ***************************************************************************** * These dogs aren't that hard to beat. All you have to remember to do is * * to keep moving. Try and run in circles and shoot as many shots as you * * can. They don't have much health, so they should go down fairly easy. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Beat the dogs without taking any damage. Don't have any * * Buster parts equipped, either. * ***************************************************************************** After you beat the dogs, head north and you should be above the generator. Go into the crevice and you'll find the last ID Card. Head back to the main entrance and go inside the control room that you were in earlier. Use the control panel and you'll open the Main Gate. Head back to the Flutter and make sure you SAVE! ******************************1j) Aerial Battle!***************************** First off, before you head back to the Cardon Forest, go to the R&D Room and develop your items. Roll will make an Active Buster out of the Guidance Unit. She'll also make a Spread Buster out of the Old Launcher, Arm Supporter, and Ancient Book. The last item she'll make is a Sniper Scope Buster part out of the Target Sensor and Tele-Lens. Equip the Active Buster and try to upgrade every stat to at least level 2. Also, your Buster should be equipped with a Power Blaster R, Gatling Gun, and a Sniper Scope. You will be faced with a tough battle, so make sure you're well prepared! When you try to head back to the Cardon Forest, the Bonnes will attack you! This is probably the hardest fight in the game. I can't stress enough on how useful the Active Buster is. Please make sure you upgrade it and use it and you'll have a much easier time! You first start off by fighting three Draches. They're pretty easy, just don't get trigger happy with your Active Buster right off at the start. They're invincible for a few seconds, so shoot your Buster until you start to do some damage. Then switch over to the Active Buster and start blasting the Draches. If the first Drache got away, just shoot it down with your Buster. Then, the real battle begins. ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Bonne Air Force, Part 1 ** ***************************************************************************** * Well, this boss SHOULD be called the Gesselshaft, but we've had a Bonne * * Army and a Bonne Navy, so it seems more fitting to call this the Air * * Force. Anyways, there's three weak spots on the Gesselshaft. Aim for * * the underbelly of the ship. If you fire off a few rounds of the Active * * Buster, you'll take it out easy. After a few seconds, you'll be right in * * front of the Gesselshaft. You need to shoot those bombs that pop out * * with your Buster. You should then move right towards a wing. Shoot at * * the big round spot on the wing. Again, the Active Buster should take it * * out easily. Make sure you play the defensive here, too, because there's * * some cannons on the side of the ship. You can shoot the bombs that come * * out or you can destroy the cannons themselves. After a few more seconds, * * you'll head around to the other side of the ship. Destroy that wing and * * you'll have one last spot that you need to kill. Shoot at the skull that * * serves as the nose and you'll destroy the Gesselshaft! * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Destroy the Gesselshaft without letting the Flutter get hit. * ***************************************************************************** Don't be fooled into thinking that you've won! Tron comes out with another machine that you have to fight. ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Bonne Air Force, Part 2 ** ***************************************************************************** * Again, the Active Buster really comes in handy here. Tron will start * * shooting missiles at the Flutter. Counter them with Buster Shots. Soon, * * Tron will fly high and shoot machine gun shots at the Flutter. This is * * your chance to whip out the Active Buster and pummel Tron's robot with * * missiles. You should easily win if you have the Active Buster, but with * * any other weapon, you'll have a tough time getting through all three * * fights. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Defeat this robot before Roll says that the Flutter is taking * * too many hits. * ***************************************************************************** The Bonnes's robot explodes, and you'll be back at Cardon Forest. Before you leave the Flutter, visit Roll's room for a little....surprise. Heh. Anyways, there's no Side-Quests to do right now. You'll probably want to go back to Lake Jyun and do some crocodile hunting for cash. You'll want to at least buy the new Buster parts that are available at the Junk Shop. You may even want to upgrade some of your weapons, including the Active Buster. When you're done, go to the Old City via the East gate in the Downtown area. Head to the South gate when you're in the Old City and you'll be at the Main Gate. This is the last ruin in the game, but you'll need to go inside twice, so I've split up the ruin into two different sections. **************************1k) The Main Gate, Part 1************************** By now, you should have these three Buster parts equipped: Blaster Unit OMEGA, Power Blaster R, Sniper Scope. For the Main Gate, you should bring along your Active Buster. A short ways into the Main Gate is a hole on the right-hand wall. It contains 10,000 Zenny. Right after that is a room on the right. There's a chest with a Buster Unit OMEGA. At this point, you can come up with some really good Buster Combinations. Try these: 1) Buster Unit OMEGA + Blaster Unit OMEGA + Sniper Unit OMEGA 2) Buster Unit OMEGA + Blaster Unit OMEGA + Rapid Striker 3) Buster Unit OMEGA + Gatling Gun + Rapid Striker 4) Buster Unit OMEGA + Sniper Unit OMEGA + Gatling Gun Out of these four, I like number 3 the best. You have high stats in every area plus you have a good Rapid ability. Keep going down the slope. There's another room on the right that you need to go through. There will be a control panel in this room. Make sure you use it to Unlock the Sub-Cities. When you do, you can proceed into the next room. There's another dog Reaverbot, but you should take it out easy. Head south. Take the left path first. There's another dog, so kill it. Keep going and you'll find a hole in the wall that has and Autofire Barrel. Next to the hole is a chest with a Blunted Drill. Head back to where you turned left, and go down the right path (which is now straight). Not long past the fork is a hole with 2,170 Zenny. You'll find a circular room with another dog. Kill it and head to the north end of the room. There's another hole with a Shiny Red Stone. Now go back to the big room where you found the first dog Reaverbot and head west. You'll be in the extra ruins again. Here you'll find a Generator Part. Go back to the Main Gate and go to the door that's straight ahead. Climb the ladder and you'll be back in the Old City. Head through the really big door and you'll find out that the Bonnes survived. Now the question that remains, can you survive? ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Bruno ** ***************************************************************************** * As with every other boss, there's a trick to beating Bruno. If you hide * * behind the a big black box, you can avoid every attack that Bruno dishes * * out. Keep Bruno on one side of the box and MegaMan on the other. Bruno * * will fire missiles and those shield-breaking plasma beams. Your * * objective is to hit Bruno's torso because that's where you'll do damage * * to the boss itself. If you shoot the shoulder until they smoke, you'll * * take out most of Bruno's missile attacks. Other than that, pummel Bruno * * with a lot of Active Buster shots and you'll win in no time. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Beat this boss without taking a hit. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Part 2: Beat this boss without any Buster upgrades, without * * any special weapons, and have Bruno level the Old City in the process. * ***************************************************************************** This was the final fight with the Bonnes! Since you're already out of the Main Gate, let's tie up a few loose ends. Go to the Flutter and watch TV. The News is on and it informs you that there's been a bank robbery. You'll have to walk all the way over to the Downtown area. When you get there, you have to shoot at the red car until it blows up. If you want to, shoot the cop car for fun. After the red car blows up, pick up the money case. If you talk to the Inspector, you'll receive 20,000 Zenny. If you head to a gate and make off with the case, you'll get 200,000 Zenny, but you'll turn dark. It's up to you what you want to do. BTW, a burger shop opens up behind the Library after you do this Side-Quest! Next, there's a really simple Side-Quest. Go to the Bronte Vegetable Store and talk to the shopkeeper. He says that his wife's gone out for a walk and hasn't come back yet. You're going to need to go south of the Flutter. After you go through the mountain-like path, hang a right and around the corner. You should see the wife leaning against the wall. Take her to the hospital and her husband will rush to the hospital. Exit and reenter and you should see him standing in the lobby. Talk to him and you'll get a Sun-Lamp. Now you should see Roll and have her develop your items. She'll make a Drill Arm out of the Blunted Drill. The Broken Circuits, Main Core Shard, and Sun-Light will net you the Buster part Omni-Unit OMEGA. The Autofire Barrel and the Generator Part make a Buster part called the Auto Battery. Bring the Drill Arm along (maxed out, preferably). You should head back to the Main Gate and into the room where you fought the first dog. Head into the extra ruins from this room (west). Go up the incline and destroy the wall. From this point, head straight and into the next area. We'll soon be in a familiar place. Head west from the big room and you should see the little mine dudes. Head left (south) and through the door. Keep going south and follow the path until you reach more destroyable walls. Behind some of the walls is an area that you've never been to before. There's a chest here with a Blaster Unit R. Behind it is a hole with some Weapons Plans. Keep drilling to the east so you have destroyed all of the walls. To the right of the last wall is a door that leads to a ladder (which leads outside). You should be back in the Clozer Woods. There's one last Side Quest to do. Go to the Museum in Uptown. If you've been diligent in searching all of the ruins, you should have every item that you can donate to the Museum. Here's the list: Old Bone; converts to an Ancient Digging Tool -- Location: Cardon Forest Sub-Gate (Section 1f) Old Heater; converts to a Fire Pot -- Location: Get from Jim's gang (Section 3d) Old Doll; converts to a Human Doll -- Location: Cardon Forest Sub-Gate (Section 1f) Antique Bell; converts to a Kattelox Bell -- Location: Clozer Woods Sub-Gate (Section 1i) Giant Horn; converts to a Giant Horn -- Location: Won from a race. (Section 3b) Shiny Object; converts to a Crystal Fossil -- Location: Extra Ruins (Section 3a, Part 4) Old Shield; converts to an Antique Shield -- Location: Extra ruins (Section 3a, Part 2) Shiny Red Stone; converts to a -- Location: Main Gate (Section 1k) Donate everything on the list, exit the room and come back. There's a girl in a green dress walking around. She asks you if you want this Prism Crystal she had evaluated. Take it and leave. Go to the Support Car and have Roll do one last Item Development. She'll make a Shining Laser out of the X Buster, Weapon Plans, and Prism Crystal! This is definitely the most powerful weapon in the game. When maxed out, it can take out the last boss in seconds **************************1l) The Main Gate, Part 2************************** At this time, I used this Buster combination: Blaster Unit R + Gatling Gun + Omni-Unit OMEGA Now, let's start out in the Old City. Go to the warehouse where you found Bruno. There's a big black box on top of the ruined building. (It's not next to it, but in the rubble itself.) Go in the door in the black box and you'll be in a Sub-City. Destroy every Reaverbot here and a door will open. Look for a big fancy building, head inside, and open the chest. You'll find a Sub-City Key. Next, head Downtown and do the same thing as the last Sub City. Go to Uptown next and you'll be pitted against a boss. ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Centipede ** ***************************************************************************** * This boss is pretty simple to beat. It shouldn't even be a boss. Just * * follow behind it and shoot a continuous stream of shots. You can kinda * * ignore the Reaverbots it shoots out at you. If you shoot the Centipede * * enough when it spits out a Reaverbot, it'll run away fast so you can get * * far enough away from the Reaverbots it shoots out. Your Buster shots * * should do a lot of damage in a small amount of time. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Beat this boss without taking a hit. Also, try to kill it * * without special weapons and an no Buster parts equipped. * ***************************************************************************** Kill the boss, then kill all the Reaverbots left in the area. Another door will open with another key. With all keys in hand, you can fight the final battle. But you should get some money so you can upgrade your weapons, buy parts, buy canteen packs, and anything else you need to spend money on. The best place to get money is in the Sub-City in the Downtown area. When you're ready, head inside the Main Gate and go all the way to the bottom of the spiral. You'll need all three Sub-City Keys in order to open the three doors here. In the next room, you'll meet an interesting character - MegaMan Juno. If you haven't figured it out by the conversation between MegaMan and Juno, the last boss in the game is Juno. After some more cut scenes, you'll have to chase after Juno. Along the way you'll find a Power Stream in a chest. This is the last Buster part you need to collect. In fact, it's the last item in the game! You can now leave the Main Gate to get better upgrades and such. The final boss is not easy, so make sure you're fully prepared! Here's some Buster combinations you might want to try: 1) Buster Unit OMEGA + Omni-Unit OMEGA + Auto Battery 2) Buster Unit OMEGA + Omni-Unit OMEGA + Gatling Gun 3) Buster Unit OMEGA + Omni-Unit OMEGA + Blaster Unit OMEGA 4) Buster Unit OMEGA + Omni-Unit OMEGA + Machine Gun 5) Buster Unit OMEGA + Sniper Scope + Auto Battery 6) Buster Unit OMEGA + Blaster Unit R + Omni-Unit OMEGA 7) Buster Unit OMEGA + Blaster Unit R + Gatling Gun 8) Omni-Unit OMEGA + Power Blaster R + Gatling Gun 9) Omni-Unit OMEGA + Blaster Unit R + Sniper Unit OMEGA 10) Omni-Unit OMEGA + Blaster Unit OMEGA + Blaster Unit R Personally, I like number 10. There are more combinations than those listed here. I just gave you a good start. When you're completely ready, go to the far end of the Main Gate, have Data save your game, and proceed though the door. ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Juno, Part 1 ** ***************************************************************************** * Get ready for the toughest single enemy in the game. Juno has several * * attacks, so you'll have to know how to avoid all the attacks if you want * * to survive. Juno's most simple attack is a dashing attack. He flies * * forward trying to hit you. Just move to the side to avoid it. His next * * most simple attack is a jumping attack. Juno will try to land on top of * * you, making a big explosion and a shockwave. Jump sideways to avoid it. * * Another, less simple attack is what I call his ground cutter attack. * * Juno will levitate and charge his fists. He then throws his fists in a * * straight line at you, making it so you have to move to the side. His * * last main attack is his Power Fist attack. He'll shout "Power Fist" and * * make a sweeping circular motion with beams from his fists. In order to * * beat him, you'll need to fire off as many Buster shots as you can. Only * * use your special weapons when you have a clean shot. If you have a * * special weapon that you can fire while moving, save your ammo. You'll * * have to fight Juno twice, so wait until the next round. After doing some * * major damage, Juno will pull out his last big attack. In fact, it's his * * worst attack out of the whole lot. Juno will disappear and the center of * * the room will start exploding. Juno will reappear and his hands will * * come down from the ceiling. The hands will hit the floor and cause a * * shockwave. All you have to do is jump a little bit late and you'll avoid * * it. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Beat Juno without taking a hit. This is extremely difficult * * to do! You'll have to know how to avoid his attacks. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Part 2: Try to beat Juno without any Buster upgrades, and * * without any special weapons. You can use anything else, including armor, * * a fully-upgraded Energy Canteen, and any normal items. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Juno, Part 2 ** ***************************************************************************** * Juno now has switched to a much bigger body. His attacks are a bit * * easier to avoid, and he's a bit slower, but his attacks have some more * * power to them. His first attack is a multiple jump attack. He'll try to * * jump right on top of MegaMan twice in a row and the jump to the center of * * the room and swipe the area in front of him. Just move sideways and * * blast him on his third jump. His next attack is ground swipe attack that * * makes straight line explosions. Jump and you should always avoid this * * one. Another simple attack of his is a dash attack. With Juno's big * * body, it'll be harder to avoid than his previous flying dash attack * * because of his large size. Still, moving sideways should be sufficient * * enough to avoid it. His last main attack is his altered version of his * * old Power Fist attack. Juno will create a large ball and throw it at * * you. This part is easy to avoid. The trouble is that after he throws * * it, if Juno touches it with his next attack, it'll explode much like his * * ground-sweeping-with-explosions attack. The tactics you used in this * * battle should be the same as the last. Keep moving sideways and * * continuously fire your Buster. Use your special weapons whenever you see * * an open shot. After doing significant damage, he'll bust out his * * ultimate attack. You'll know when he pulls it off because it looks like * * he just exploded. A shockwave will burst after he bursts, and then he * * will shoot ten energy beams from the sky. You'll have to run like mad to * * avoid all of them. Look for an open path and run along until the attack * * is over. Then, resume firing at Juno. * ***************************************************************************** Congratulations! You just beat the game! Since this is a Spoiler Free Walkthrough, I can't mention anything about what happens in the story. BUT, I can reveal that once you've beaten the game, you can change the difficulty to Hard. After you beat the game on Hard Mode, you'll get treated to Easy Mode. In Easy Mode, you get a Buster part called the Buster Max. It maxes out every stat on you Buster! You'll also get the Jet Skates right off at the very start, too. ***************************************************************************** ***********************************2) Bosses********************************* ***************************************************************************** I've just copying and pasting the individual boss strategies from the main portion of the Walkthrough. All the boss strategies are here in this section of the FAQ. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: The Blumebears ** ***************************************************************************** * The Blumebears are pretty easy. If you find the key early, but you won't have as * * much fun if you don't kill them all. But if you're low on health just * * grab the key early. You won't get as much Zenny, though. * **************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! I've had a hard time thinking up a challenge for this battle. * * Try to beat the Blumebears without any Buster Upgrades, without buying * * any Life Gauge pieces, without picking up any energy cubes, killing all * * three of the Blumebears, and kill all 2 Draches. Also, none of the * * buildings can be destroyed. * ***************************************************************************** * CHALLENGE! Part 2: Try to beat this boss fight without taking a hit. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Feldinaut ** ***************************************************************************** * Feldinaut is also pretty easy. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Bonne Army ** ***************************************************************************** * Ok, I've called this a Bonne Army because there's an army of Bonne * * robots. Try beating this fight without taking a hit. Also, don't use * * any Buster upgrades. Try beating this fight without taking a hit. Also, don't use * * any Buster upgrades. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Marlwolf ** ***************************************************************************** * It's big and it has heavy armor, there's a trick to beating it. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Bonne Navy ** ***************************************************************************** * Once again, the Bonnes are looking for a fight. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: The Golden Reaverbot ** ***************************************************************************** * This guy has some very simple moves. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Reaverbot Dogs ** ***************************************************************************** * These dogs aren't that hard to beat. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Bonne Air Force, Part 1 ** ***************************************************************************** * Well, this boss SHOULD be called the Gesselshaft, but we've had a Bonne * * Army and a Bonne Navy, so it seems more fitting to call this the Air * * Force. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Bonne Air Force, Part 2 ** ***************************************************************************** * Again, the Active Buster really comes in handy here. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Bruno ** ***************************************************************************** * As with every other boss, there's a trick to beating Bruno. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Centipede ** ***************************************************************************** * This boss is pretty simple to beat. * ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ** Boss Battle: Juno, Part 1 ** ***************************************************************************** * Get ready for the toughest single enemy in the game. A side-quest is an extra "thing" you can do to either pick up some Zenny or some items, or both. It covers them in chronological order, so you can do the side-quests as you proceed through the game. These side-quests can be done at any time once you've proceeded far enough into the game, so I'll make a note on when it's possible to do them. *******************************3a) Extra Ruins******************************* Available as the game progresses. More of the ruins will be available once you get certain items. Description: The extra ruins are tunnels underneath Kattelox that have no purpose in the game. They're different from the Sub-Gates because you don't have to get a specific item, like a refractor. I'll start with the ruins outside the Apple Market. Part 1: The ruins outside of the Apple Market These ruins are really simple. There's only two places with items here, and you'll have to go here anyways early in the game. Your main objective is to find the Junk Store Owner, but there's some extra goodies you can pick up. Before you get to the Junk Store Owner, there's a hole in the wall. It's in a pretty obvious spot (just past the ledge where you can come in from the sewers from Downtown), so search it and you'll find 2,600 Zenny. Go past the area where you found the Junk Store Owner and follow the path. At the very end of the path is a room with a treasure chest. Open it and you'll find a Rapid Fire. Part 2: The ruins south of the Flutter For this place, you'll need the B Class License. You have to beat Bon Bonne at City Hall in order to get it. Once inside, you'll fight some Reaverbots. There's nothing much of interest until you go a ways into it, so go down the paths until you find a mini-boss. He acts just like the first boss that you fought in the ocean ruins. Kill it for a lot of Zenny, and shortly after you beat him, you'll be in a big room. There's three Reaverbots that walk around and shoot fireballs at you. Kill them, and at the top of the incline is a treasure chest with 2280 Zenny. The next room should also be a big room with those little mine Reaverbots. On the right wall will be a hole. Search it for an Old Shield. Keep going and you'll be on a high ledge in a room that you've already been in. There's a treasure chest up there with a Buster Unit. That's all you can find at this time. Part 3: Clozer Woods You can come here before or after you beat Teisel for the first time. It doesn't matter. It's located one area before where you fight him. Part 4: Cardon Sub-Gate Well, it's not the Sub-Gate itself, but we'll start out at the Sub-Gate. Once you finish the Sub-Gate, you should have some Jump Springs (develop the Spring Set you found in the Sub-Gate). Jump onto the ledge next to the elevator. Part 5: Lake Jyun Sub-Gate Go back to Lake Jyun with the Grand Grenade equipped and go back to the area with the crocodiles. Part 6: The Main Gate Bring the Drill Arm along (maxed out, preferably). That way, you can go basically anywhere from inside the ruins. *******************************3b) Mini-Games******************************** These games are all located at the KTOX TV station located in Uptown. Talk to the receptionist for Beast Hunter and Balloon Fantasy. Talk to the guy in the corner once you get the Jet Skates and he'll let you play the Racing Game. Racing Game At the TV station, talk to the guy with a blue shirt in the corner. Prizes: Straight Course A Rank: Music Box Left Curve Course A Rank: Omni Unit Technical Course A Rank: Giant Horn ****************************3c) The Police Office**************************** Disarm the Bombs You can do this side-quest after you return from the Cardon Sub-Gate. The Lost Money Talk to the Inspector anytime after you fix the Flutter. *******************************3d) Jim's Gang******************************** This Side-Quest is available after you get the Yellow Refractor from the Cardon Sub-Gate. Head over to City Hall and go north. There is a shed behind one of the walls. Go inside it and you'll find Jim's gang again. Agree to become a member and they'll send you to get a Pick. Go back to City Hall and look outside the Bank. There's a construction worker here who'll give you a Pick. Take it back to Jim's gang. Kill some time and go Zenny hunting or something. Come back to Jim's base and he'll ask you for a Saw. Talk to the same construction worker near the bank and you'll find out that he threw it away. Go to Downtown and look in the trash cans near the library. You should find it and then head back to Jim's base. Kill some time and come back. Jim will tell you that the base is finished! *******************************3e) Ira's Leg********************************* After you fix the Flutter, you can take on this Side-Quest. ****************************3f) The Bank Robbery***************************** You can do this after you beat Bruno in the Old City. **************************3g) The Shopkeeper's Wife************************** Here's a really simple Side-Quest. I might be available after the aerial battle with the Bones, but it will definitely be available after the fight with Bruno. *******************************3h) The Museum******************************** Go to the Museum in Uptown. Bring the Vacuum Arm along for best results. 1) Sub-City in Downtown Near the end of the game you'll come across the Sub-Cities. Go to the one in Downtown and kill every Reaverbot there. You'll make tons of money fighting in here. 2) Lake Jyun Sub-Gate Near the back end of Lake Jyun is an area with lots of alligator Reaverbots. Kill them for lots of Zenny. Then, head into one of the doors at the bottom of those ramps. Go back inside and kill the alligators repeatedly. 3) Cardon Sub-Gate There's some wasp nests in the Sub-Gate south of where the Flutter is. The nests just burst Zenny out of them once you destroy them. ***************************************************************************** ************************************7) FAQ*********************************** ***************************************************************************** Well, if I get some questions, I'll answer them here! ***************************************************************************** *************8) People who I given my permission to use this FAQ************* ***************************************************************************** 1) www.mlu.cjb.net - The MegaMan Legends Universe! ***************************************************************************** ***********************************9) Credits******************************** ***************************************************************************** 1) To me, of course. ^_^ 2) To me, again for beating the game in 1:05:27, for beating Juno without any Buster upgrades and without a weapon. I also beat Juno without taking a hit. Heh. Sorry, just want some bragging rights here. 3) To SuperDanny, for having such a great site for one of my all-time favorite game series. He deserves to have a good walkthrough for his site.
